Cadets Girls Basketball

Winter sports are here, which means Girls' Basketball! Tryouts were November 18th—19th. As these Lady Cadets settle into their teams and prepare to start the season, a key player, Giauna Littrell, a Junior who plays the Center Position, describes this new season. Littrell is the tallest person on the team, coming in at 6 '3. Since she's the tallest, her role is to get rebounds, close shots, and blocks. 

     She’s not the only good player on the team. She says, “Some key players to watch this upcoming season are Rihanna Espinoza, a fast all-around guard who can score some tough floaters/ layups. She also is great with catch-and-shoot 3s when they're needed.” Rihanna Espinoza is also a Junior. 

     A few other players to watch out for are Natalia Fedrick and Nekha Roehl. Natalia is a strong, small forward who can get to the hoop with efficiency but can also use her strength down low. Nekha is another all-around guard who can knock down shots from far range; she is versatile and can use crafty moves to get to the hoop.” When asked how she feels about this upcoming season, she describes, “Overall, I feel the most confident I've ever been about this upcoming season. I have a lot of faith in my team and our ability to communicate with each other. Our last season wasn't as successful as we had hoped, but we know what we have to do this season, and we're so excited!’ With that being said, show up to games and support your fellow Cadets!
