Fire and Ice Give Advice

So I got a friend who is trying to get back with his ex even though EVERYONE including him knows it was unhealthy and toxic. How do I get him to stop and listen?

Fire: Make him talk about what their relationship was previously like, making sure he does not overlook the negatives. Next you have to show him an example of a healthy relationship.

Ice: Remind him of not only how it was toxic but how it made him feel. Remind him of the fact that he did not deserve the previous treatment and make sure he does not settle for what he thinks he deserves but what he truly does.

Any advice on how to stop procrastinating?

Fire: Give yourself an award system, find one of those randomizers where you can add names and put the assignments you need to complete in it in order to help motivate yourself.

Ice: Take it one class at a time, do not try to do all your work at once, give yourself breaks. Try working in a library after school, it really does help motivate you to be more productive.

Should I get a job next year? All my friends have jobs and I wouldn't mind using my spare time to make some money.

Fire: Yeah you should get a job, you’ll be able to easily coordinate with your friends to make plans easier, especially if you guys have the same schedule or work at the same place. Money is a good bonus too.

Ice: As long as it will not overload your current schedule and make sure to keep school above work. And remember it is just a high school job and not that important.

How to strike RICH?

Fire: In order to strike rich, you must be born a child of a famous celebrity, then you must attend the debutante ball where you get to show off your family's money. You could also hire Kris Jenner as a manager!

Ice: Gamble, Gamble, and oh yeah Gamble. No just kidding, do NOT gamble. Try opening a savings account or look into more options to grow your money while it sits without doing any work.

What do you think about dating in high school?

Fire: Dating in high school is a balancing act. Your relationship won’t always be good, you will have your hardships, but you can not let it affect your efforts in school. Dating in high school should not be your priority, take your time to find your person, it’ll happen eventually. Rather it have already happened in middle school or now in high school, or even in the future when you’re at work, in college, or hanging out at a coffee shop. With time it’ll happen. Use high school to take care of yourself.

Ice: Dating in high school can be tricky but you can’t put your significant other on a sort of pedestal above school, friends, and family. And not every person you date will be your soulmate but at the same time, don’t use others especially emotionally when in a relationship. Highschool isn’t necessarily a time for relationships but rather to learn and figure out what you want to do in life. And if your family and friends aren’t fond of your significant other, maybe take some time to seriously consider if it is a relationship worth keeping.
