What is one thing you would tell your senior year self?
Just relax more and enjoy it, don’t be so worried about stupid stuff. Senior year is only once, so just enjoy it.
What is your biggest regret senior year?
Probably that I did not focus on my grades very much or that I did not branch out my senior year and get involved with more stuff. I stayed in my bubble.
What would you tell students who did not know what they want to do in life yet?
You’ve got time, relax, it is ok.
When it comes to choosing college, what piece of advice would you give seniors?
Number one if you know what you want to do, focus on that and pick a school based on that, not just one your friends are going to.
Is there any other piece of advice you would give seniors?
Again, just enjoy it, it is the last year of high school, all the drama will be gone and it wont matter in a year.
What is one thing you would tell your senior year self?
Do not underestimate the power of showing up and giving your best.
What is your biggest senior year regret?
I wrote off a lot of college opportunities because I was set on doing music, I thought I was bad at other subjects because I wasn’t the best student. The fear of not being the best stopped me from trying other things.
What would you tell students who do not know what they want to do in life yet?
You do not have to know right now, it is ok to go through phases, it’s never too late to learn something new.
When it comes to choosing college, what piece of advice would you give seniors?
Look at colleges that fit your values, where they fit into the community, get on campus and try new things, be open to change.
Is there any other piece of advice you would give seniors?
It is never too late to try something. Life is not set at the end of senior year. Build good habits.
What is one thing you would tell senior year you?
Do not take everything so seriously, but also take things seriously.
What is your biggest senior year regret?
I wish I would’ve gone to more events and met more people. I went to more events in spring and had fun experiences. I wish I would have gone sooner. You will be surprised at what you can find.
What would you tell students who do not know what they want to do in life yet?
It doesn't matter. Keep grinding, keep getting an education, keep betting on yourself.
When it comes to choosing a college, what piece of advice would you give seniors?
I encourage kids to find the right balance between the school piece, family, sports, friends, money, it is all about finding that balance.
Is there any other piece of advice you would give seniors?
You may think you are invincible, life looks easy and some parts are but prepare yourself for that. Do the work now for where you want to be in 5 years. Take action now to better your life later, and please do not peak in high school.
