Does the Fair Hold Up?

As we all know, the state fair is usually the most exciting time of the year, but will it meet the expectations? The fair has become less fun these past years because of the subtraction of rides, games, food, etc. Years ago, I recall it being more exciting. Was it that I was younger, or maybe it was more exciting? It leaves one wondering if people are more excited about the rides or the people.

We all know the rides are boring or not as scary as the first time we rode on them. The Sundome Fair doesn't even add new rides, so we get stuck with the same ones. If anything, rides slowly get taken down or broken. Do people even go on the rides anymore? Well, at least as much? I've noticed the fair seems less and less packed every year, which could be because people don't find it as exciting as it was.

I am looking forward to it because my friends and I do not ride the same rides I go on a lot. The food is a bonus. It carries the whole fair, especially the elephant ear. 

Let's not mention the prices; actually, let's talk about how everything is overpriced at the fair. Even to get in, it's a lot making people not even want to go, and if people do go, they only go for a day and don't even get the money worth most of the time. Remember the price of the food. The food needs to be more affordable. Just for fries, it can be almost 20 bucks. Is it worth it, though? Is all the money going towards the state fair this year, or will it all be a waste of time and money, as it has been leaning more towards that way in the past years?

Mentioning the games, most of the time, are rigged. They just take your money half the time, and if you win, it's a little animal that is not worth the price we already pay even to play. They would replace the games that you can't win with fair games, maybe with a bit of luck, but they would take those out and replace them with more rides like scarier ones or even more for the little kids. The little kid rides have been the same ever since I was little. When will they make the fair more exciting and money-worthy for everybody?

But the fair will be more exciting this year if new changes are added and will be better than in past years. Or we all needed this right now and hopefully make the most of it this year. We have little to look forward to around Yakima anyway. Although all the cons come with the state fair, it's not all that b[1] ad.

I'm looking forward to the fair. Although I didn't have the best to say about it, I still enjoy going because the thought of my friends and just walking around and eating is exciting to me. Sometimes, the rides are just a tiny bit scary, so let's see if the fair will be less exciting.
