We Are Ike, 2025

A fun tradition that graces us Cadets each year is the “We Are IKE!” photo. This photo encapsulates the year for the rising senior class. Often, the photo will be shown in the yearbook or put up around school. No other schools around the valley or even beyond have an event that showcases their pride in their school like we do. The tradition started in 2017, and as the years have gone by, it has grown exponentially. The 2025 “We Are Ike” photo has the biggest crowd and most student participation in the eight years it’s been our tradtion. Since a small group of students first took a photo together, to the immense change of filling the whole Eisenhower commons with students of all grades in the fall of this year.

The photo is a great opportunity for students to come together and share one common interest. The photo is optional to take (though it is strongly advised) so you have a huge group of high schoolers that collectively agree on showing their school spirit.  All students wear their “We Are IKE” t-shirts and are excused to the commons early at the end of the day from the 6th period. The crowd chants and is excited to be together taking it. The photos are also fun because each year you get a new “We Are IKE” shirt that marks the year and therefore each photo.

This fun tradition is a highlight for us Cadets each year. It showcases that we as a school are all about spirit, engagement, and community. This photo isn’t just a yearly function but a memento to have as years progress.
