Something to Leave Behind

It’s a high school tradition to have a senior photo and quote taken for the school yearbook, years and years of faces, and quotes that’ll forever leave your print behind in ink. Seniors, it’s time to start thinking about your quote and planning a photo. If you don’t submit a photo, your school ID photo will be used for this section of the yearbook. Baby photos, senior photos, and our senior quote are due January 19th, but get it done ahead of time so that you don’t forget or procrastinate until the last minute.

If you need ideas for a senior quote, I got you! You can quote something someone has said to you, a video game, something a character in your favorite media has said, or a special memory from the school year. Maybe you can have matching quotes with your friends or quote an idol of yours. You can also joke around a bit and have a funny yearbook quote, one that could be brought up for years to come.

Pick a high-quality photo of yourself that you love for senior photos, or take a professional one. You can hire someone or use your personal camera. Places to take your senior photos can be something like in front of a waterfall, a flower field, at a park, or somewhere meaningful to you. People also commonly take their photos during the golden hour (the time that the sun’s light turns golden).

Also, make sure to submit a baby or child photo along with your quote and senior photo. At the end of the year, there are games involving our baby photos, such as guessing who the senior in that photo is. This is another reminder that these are all due on January 19th, but I’m sure Mr. DeWitt would appreciate it if you turned it in earlier!
