Skyrim: Many Glitches, But No Witches
Skyrim is an open-world RPG in both first-person and third-person. Skyrim is the fifth installment in the Elder Scrolls saga. It was produced and released by Bethesda in November of 2011. It has sold more than 60 million copies since its release, and I can say that many of them have been well enjoyed by the fans of Bethesda. It has long since been regarded as one of the best Elder Scrolls games in the series. The series started out with The Elder Scrolls: Arena in 1994, then onto Daggerfall in 1996. Afterward, we had a few spinoffs, and then number three was Morrowind before coming to Oblivion and finally to Skyrim.
In Skyrim, you are what the people call the “Dragonborn” , some sort of messiah-like character who was born to defeat the dragons when they came back and to save the world from total obliteration. There is an in-depth character creation system from which you can choose one of 10 playable races, each with unique benefits. There is a large variety of weapons to choose from, from longswords to daggers, staffs, and bows and arrows. This game surely has no shortage of fun combat. You start out as a prisoner very nearly getting executed, but the execution is interrupted by a giant dragon named Alduin, who is the main antagonist of the game. After you escape, you are free to explore the world. Whether you want to help all you see, explore some cool dungeons, fight some dragons, or just cause some mischief, you are free to do anything you want. There are multiple main quest lines. Join the Dark Brotherhood, maybe the Thieves Guild, The College of Winterhold, or maybe just the Companions. It's up to you.
I have played Skyrim since I was young, probably about 7 or 8 years old. It has always been one of my favorite games of all time, and I am very happy to introduce the game to people who have never heard of it. The creators of Skyrim, Bethesda, are also responsible for the creation of many other hit games, such as Starfield, the Fallout series, and Doom, which are all also fantastically fun games to play. The game isn’t perfect; many bugs are still present, but it's a 12-year-old game. Give it a break! You may not like Skyrim, and you might not have even heard of it before, but I urge you to go and give it a wholehearted try. It’s one of the best open-world games ever created, at least in my opinion.
