Are the Seahawks for Real?

The Seattle Seahawks are one of the most surprising teams this year. They have a 4-3 record, which is only one win under their projected win total. So, everyone is questioning Are these Seahawks for real? I believe they are. 

     Let’s start with the quarterback, Geno Smith. Everybody thought coming into this year that Geno was going to be bad. However, he has been surprisingly really good this year. You may think he cannot keep this going, but there are a few things I found that he has done that make me think he can continue this. Geno has been really good with not throwing interceptions. He has only thrown 3 this entire season. He also has been good at managing the offense. The offense has not been the problem this entire year. 

     Now go to the defense. The defense has been really shaky at points this year. However, in the past 2 games has really turned it around. One of the key things they've been doing is getting pressure on the quarterback. They’ve had 8 sacks in the past 2 games and have been getting better. I believe because of this improvement, they can keep getting better

     The last thing I want to hit on is the rookies. Charles Cross, Abraham Lucas, Kenneth Walker, Coby Bryant, Tariq Woolen, and Michael Jackson are rookies that have starting jobs. They have had their rookie mistakes, but they continue to improve. Tariq Woolen, in particular, has been really good. He already has 4 interceptions and has been amazing. I think the improvement of the rookies can make this team a playoff contender.
