The Book of Destiny
Last time, when I left off, I started talking about the three sister morphs: The Knight morph, The Mother morph, and finally, King Morph. If what I said made no sense, then I recommend you go back and read the last article I wrote because what I’m about to say now will make even less sense, but for those who did, let's go back and dive into the Destiny world.
After the three siblings took their morphs from the worm gods, they rose back up, and since they accepted the pact (the thing that made them morph), they had inherently accepted war on all of the universe because to keep up their end of the deal they were given, they needed to feed a worm. If and if they didn’t, the worm would kill them. So they ascended and started uniting each faction of their people, making them officially the hive. They became an unstoppable force devouring anything in their path because of their logic. The Sword logic, the bare bones of it, is to keep killing things until something kills you, and each time you do, you grow power from it. `
With that, that is the end of the Book of Sorrows (yes, I know I got the book mixed up last time they had the same premise); in the Destiny universe, this is the first book in the history order, the oldest book they have however, there is a problem with it Savathun that hive god of witchery, and trickery she's the one that wrote it. So there's been a lot of discussions even to trust this book, but that's beside the point. Here’s where my favorite part comes in analyzing this book. The first thing I want to say is I did this book nowhere near justice with its world-building and imagery because it goes into a lot more detail. I sadly had to cut a lot so that I can write about so if the summary I wrote intrigues you, I encourage you to go read the Book of Sorrow; it's free online. Just search up The Book of Sorrow Destiny.
For the second part, I love the part where we get hints about the darkness with the whispers in the dark and the foreshadowing it does. I'm not going to say what parts are foreshadowing because we'll discuss it later, but once you know it, you’ll also appreciate it. As a side note, I’ll leave these after each book so it is easier to track what to take and track with each book. With this one, it's The Morphsmorphs, Sword Logiclogic, the names of the worms., whisper in the dark, and finally, the pact they made. These are all important details that will come up later and as a closer, this is the first part of the beginning of the Gardner and the Winnower, i.e., the Darkness and Light, and the thing we'll talk about is a part of Destiny history which is the golden age which doesn’t really have a book but some in-game context and book pages that make it clearer what happened and the start of light part or the Gardner story which I’ll go over till next time.
