Switch Online: Your Cheapest Option

Do you want to get the Nintendo Switch or have a Nintendo Switch? Online is a good consideration since you can play more and get more. You might ask yourself, what do I gain if I get Nintendo Switch Online? You first get to play some Nintendo games online, like Super Smash Bros, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, and even more. You will also have access to some of their retro games from the NES and the SNES. Finally, you can get in-game rewards so you can get icons to edit on your switch profile icon.

If you plan on getting the expansion pass, it will cost more, but you get more benefits, like access to more retro games like the SEGA Genesis and the N64. You also get free DLC for games such as Animal Crossing and Mario Kart. But the problem is, what is the cheapest option?

I’m here to tell you the cheapest price so you can have a loophole to Nintendo’s evil corporate schemes. Let’s start with the Prices. The Individual prices are as listed:  $3.99 per month, $7.99 per every three months, $19.99 per year/ $49.99 with the expansion pack. The family pack is $34.99 per year/ $77.99 with the expansion pack. So at first you think that the individual prices are cheaper, but they are not. In fact, their family plan is the most affordable.

Let me explain. In the family plan, you can have up to 8 members to have online play, and the family pack is $34.99 a year ($77.99 on the expansion pack) if you find eight people to help you pay for the online. So you will pay $4.38 a year ($10 a year with the expansion pack), which is way cheaper than paying for the yearly online service by yourself.
