Batman the Psychopath
Batman, aka Bruce Wayne, a billionaire playboy philanthropist, is the Dark Knight of Gotham, the Caped Crusader, and the World's Greatest Detective. Besides being one of the most recognizable superheroes in pop culture, there's a side that no one really knows: his dark side.
The side he tries to keep hidden under control. Yes, Batman is a psychopath. Example one: Batman exhibits behavior that conflicts with social norms, for example, dressing up as a bat, sometimes with underwear over his clothes, and beating up people to a bloody pulp.
Second reason: Psychopaths usually disregard and violate the rights of others; sometimes Batman has more eyes on you than China. That's creepy.
The third reason is that he also has difficulty distinguishing between right and wrong, stating multiple times that if he did kill even once, he would just dive deeper into a pool of blood, and there have been variations of this very thing happening. One example is the Batman, who laughs . His difficulty showing remorse or empathy is a big problem, usually even scaring the people he swore to protect. He's come really close to killing not only his enemies but his allies as well. Batman often lies, often keeping secrets from friends and family, like his many backup plans to take them down, getting to know them just to pry out information. Manipulating and hurting others is almost a hobby for the Dark Knight, from creating fail safes to neutralize his friends and taking young children into dangerous situations.
Finally, his recurring problems with the law can lead to some violent exchanges, such as in Year One or The Dark Knight Returns. He generally disregards safety and responsibility, causing problems not only for himself but for others as well. He also expresses anger on a regular basis, finding the only coping mechanism that helps is letting that pain and anxiety rest on the shoulders of the criminals he demolishes. All of this is rooted in the trauma he experiences every day due to having watched his parents shot down right in front of him.
Was Bruce Wayne always a psychopath? I don't think so. That night in Gotham changed him and shattered his developing mind. Every time the Joker tells Batman that they're not so different from each other, it's based on some kind of truth. Unlike most people who suffer trauma and try to avoid it for the rest of their lives, Bruce Wayne didn't lighten up the shadows; he became the shadow. He wouldn't suffer from the crime; he'd become a criminal under the guise of trying to protect the people. Instead, he's protecting everyone from himself.
