Money Doesn't Buy Taste: The Worst Looks of The 2022 Met Gala

Since 1948 the Met Gala has been one of the biggest yearly fashion events ever. Every year on the first Monday of May, actors, models, designers, and celebrities gather at the Met in their best outfits to raise money for the museum’s Costume Institute. The Met Gala is a prestigious event where only the most influential celebrities in fashion are invited by Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue. The theme of this year's ball was Gilded Glamor and White Tie, paying homage to fashion in the time of prosperity and industrial growth in the U.S. from 1870 to 1890. Think corsets, big hats, and everything glam. Some guests hit the mark this year, but many didn’t quite seem to understand the theme. So without further ado, I present to you the three worst looks of this year's Met Gala and why they are so offensively hideous.

Coming in at number three (the best of the worst), we have Camila Cabello. Camila's outfit kind of fits the theme with the bustle on the back of her skirt. A bustle is padding women used to wear to add fullness to the back region of their dress. On the other hand, the rest of the dress caused it to look like a Shein and Bridgerton collaboration. The fabric of the dress looked tacky, and so did the strappy top that looks like something that would have been popular amongst middle school girls circa 2017.

Second place will have to go to Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker as a couple. I personally have a lot of questions I would like to ask the pair about their stylistic choices, like was Kourtney's looks inspired by an ace bandage? Also, does Travis Barker usually wear kilts?

Last and certainly least we have Kylie Jenner's outfit. I respect this outfit, in that it was meant to honor the late Virgril Abloh, but I didn’t like anything about it. The silhouette of the dress as well as the mesh and hat felt very off theme and unflattering. This outfit was the last thing I would ever expect to see Kylie Jenner attend the 2022 Met Gala in, it was disappointing
