Eisenhower’s Christmas Food Drive

The yearly Christmas Food Drive is here! Eisenhower High School will collect pantry food such as applesauce containers, granola bars, fruit, and vegetables. The food will be delivered to Operation Harvest, which will distribute it to the community in need. People should bring food that can be eaten without needing a stove or utensils. Whichever class brings in the most food gets out of lunch five minutes earlier on Thursday the 14th. This day is also the last day to bring in donations.

Alternative Donations:

Food banks use donated funds to help cover the cost of picking up the food from donors and bringing it to their warehouses. With supply chain disruptions and transportation costs rising, cash donations can make a big difference.

Yakimafoodbank.org

We are a non-profit food bank established in 1971 and incorporated in 1979 to provide ample nutrition to the Yakima community. We are a primarily volunteer-run organization seeking to provide the highest quality and quantity of food to those seeking our assistance. We are a member agency of Northwest Harvest and a partner agency of Second Harvest of the Inland Northwest, and we receive food and funding from donations and state and federal anti-hunger assistance programs. We are your neighbors and representatives to those seeking our assistance.

Union Gospel Mission

From the meals we serve to the homeless to improvements we make to our facilities, it is all paid for by the generous donations from the community and our partners. You can make donations over the phone, by mail, or online.
