Don’t BeFake! BeReal!

It’s time to BeReal! BeReal is a social media app that was named the 2022 iPhone App of the Year. The app is a way to connect with your friends simultaneously, every day, at a random time between 7 am and 9 pm PST. A notification is sent to every user at the same time, and you have two minutes to capture what you are actively doing. To see what people are actually like, and not just what they choose to post on other social media platforms. That is what it means to BeReal.

     At Eisenhower, BeReal started taking off around April of 2022. Since then, most people you meet will probably have the app. It is immensely popular and is used all over the world. It is available in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, and most European countries. This app is simple, fun, and practical.

     There is a memories feature that allows you to see the BeReals you have taken previously. At the end of each year, a recap video is made of all the BeReals you have taken throughout the year. BeReal is a great way to remember where you've been and how far you have come.
