Black Myth: Wukong
We all know about the immortal monkey who went up against the gods, Sun Wukong; if you don’t know, then that is weird. Because of this monkey, many authors have based their series on this legendary tale of Wukong, like a well-known anime series, Dragon Ball. Son Goku is the name of the MC in Dragon Ball, but it’s also another name for Sun Wukong. The tale of Sun Wukong is called “The Journey To The West”. It talks about how Wukong went against the celestial god, and when defeated, he decides to enter the teachings of Buddhahood, where he finds himself with a monk who guides him to a non-violent way of settling things against the celestial gods. By doing this, Wukong received the golden headband, which prevented him from entering into any sort of violence and/or disobedience against others by a painful swell and ache that makes his brain feel like it’s about to burst like someone who ate Taco Bell. This headband stopped him mid-fight and caused him to lose against Erlang Shen, sealing him away.
We start the journey of “The Destined One,” who embarks to retrieve the remnants/relics of Wukong, which were scattered into six pieces: Craving Eyes, Fuming Ears, Hubris Nose, Envious Tongue, and Grieved Body. The last relic is the Freed Mind, and the one who holds that relic is an identical copy of Wukong, who is also the last boss and the reason why the destined one becomes the new Sun Wukong. In this game, there will be 80+ bosses, including secret bosses. You’ll have a way to better your skill for your character with your equipment, of course, and your Self-Advancement. In the Self-Advancement section are your Abilities, Foundation, and Spells.
Within your Abilities, you can awaken “Stamina,” skills to help you use less stamina during a fight; “Martial Arts,” skills that can help defend and fight against enemies; and “Survival,” skills that enhance your physical strengthening and survival performance. In the Foundation section, you can awaken the “Smash Stance,” a heavy attack for close-quarter combat fights, “Pillar Stance,” a heavy attack that attacks from above, and “Thrust Stance,” a heavy attack for long-distance combat. Within the Foundation section, you’ll also have a Focus part, which can increase your charge for a more vigorous, heavy attack. Lastly, your Spells which consist of Mysticism that has “Immobilized”: freezes your opponent, Alteration that has “Cloud Step”: turns you invisible and leaves an afterimage that opponents attack, “Rock Solid”: turns your hard and parry’s opponent's attacks, Strand that has “A Pluck of Many”: creates multiple clones (5), and Transformation that has “Moon roam” and “Steadfast”: transforms you to an opponent that you have defeated and absorbed. There are still more ways to help you fight against your strong opponents, but that is for you to discover and explore more. But this is only if you like games similar to Elden Ring and God Of War.
