After Six Years, Halo is Back

Halo Infinite is the latest installment in the Halo franchise, being the 15th game in the series. Halo Infinite had a large hole to fill as the last Halo game came out six years ago, but the game was a smash hit. It is the most successful Halo game with 81 million copies sold and a constantly rising player base. There are many reasons for this major success but the main reason would most likely be the developers, 343 industries, who were able to take a series that previously went downhill after Halo 5 and turned it into a massive success.

343 Industries released the multiplayer for Halo Infinite on November 15, 2021 a month earlier than the campaign. Some people thought this was a dumb idea but it was absolutely genius, the player base soon skyrooketed to 20 million players and is increasing each day. Almost everyone enjoyed the multiplayer, it was a newmore fast paced version of the usual Halo multiplayer and players loved it. It had the classical elements of Halo and added new twists to the multiplayer. 343 Industries later released the campaign for Halo Infinite, this had many players worried as they might not like the new story of Halo. So, when the campaign released players eagerly logged in and began to play, the new story had mixed results in the playerbase but it was mostly liked. The campaign is set 6 months after the end of Halo 5, what's left of the UNSC (United Nations space command) is under attack by The Banished, the Banished are a covenant mercenary organization. The Banished ambush the UNSC and begin to kill any and all UNSC forces in order to control the Zeta ring (a massive exstermation device). The legendary super soldier: Master Chief is now tasked to eliminate all Banished from the ring and regroup any UNSC forces left.

343 Industries was able to make a remarkable game from the remnants of a broken series. Halo Infinite is hopefully the first in a line of amazing Halo games to come.
