ENHYPEN 2nd World Tour ‘FATE’
South Korean boy group, ENHYPEN's second world tour, 'FATE,' has taken fans on an unforgettable journey, living up to their lyrics, 'If we're together, we have a good time.' Kicking off in Seoul, South Korea, on July 29th at the KSPO Dome, this tour has been nothing short of fate itself.
Emerging from the intense competition of the South Korean survival show 'I-LAND,' ENHYPEN is a captivating K-pop group known for their exceptional talent and unique style. With powerful performances and innovative music, they have swiftly captured the hearts of global audiences, setting new standards in the industry. Its seven members, Yang Jungwon, Lee Heeseung, Park Jongseong, Sim Jaeyoon, Park Sunghoon, Kim Sunoo, and Nishimura Riki, came together destined for greatness. Their debut under BELIFT LAB in November of 2020 marked the beginning of an incredible journey. In less than three years, they've become one of the world's most beloved K-pop groups, releasing two studio albums, four EPs, and six singles.
Their second world tour, following their first, ‘MANIFESTO’, took them from Seoul to Japan, where they delivered captivating and mesmerizing shows in Osaka and Tokyo. At the Tokyo Dome, with its staggering capacity of 55,000, dedicated fans filled the venue, armed with their lightsticks and pickets, eagerly awaiting their favorite group's performance. This historic event marked ENHYPEN's achievement as the fastest K-pop group to grace the dome's stage for the first time, solidifying their status as an international sensation.
Their high-energy performance of 'Go Big or Go Home' electrified the audience with its dynamic beats and powerful choreography, setting the stage on fire. In contrast, their recent hit from their WEBTOON original story "Dark Moon: The Blood Altar," 'CRIMINAL LOVE,' unveiled a new dimension of their artistry, weaving a compelling narrative into their music and captivating fans with its irresistible charm and addicting melodies. Not only these but many of their other songs and performances showcased their extraordinary stage presence and mesmerizing dance moves, including a performance with many Pikachus who made a surprise appearance during their song ‘One and Only,’ a collaboration with the “Pokémon” music project “Pokémon Music Collective.” During the heartfelt rendition of 'Blossom,' a touching tribute to their fans, tears flowed freely, and the members shared emotional speeches expressing gratitude and their dreams' journey. As the show concluded with a sense of nostalgia and warmth, fans left with hearts full of joy, cherishing the unforgettable moments shared with ENHYPEN.
In an interview with two of the members, Jaeyoon and Jongseong, on the podcast “The Daebak Show with Eric Nam”, Jaeyoon explains the meaning of the tour's title. He said, “The reason why it’s called fate is because it’s our second time meeting our fans all over the world and it’s sort of like fate.” As the group debuted during the COVID-19 pandemic, they couldn’t really interact much with the fandom, known as ENGENE, but now that it’s over both ENHYPEN and ENGENEs can see each other in person.
Now, ENHYPEN has arrived in the United States, starting in Los Angeles and concluding in Chicago. Brace yourselves to be awestruck as these talented artists bring their love and artistry across the ocean, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of ENGENEs. It's as if fate has brought them together once more, promising an unforgettable experience.
